“Calling All Gamers, I Repeat, Calling All Gamers”! I’m here to inform you guys and gals why you should look into building your own gaming pc instead of buying store bought products. Some reasons that I will let you guys in on will be Price, Performance, and Components to have a stellar, yet powerful pc for any types of games or videos that you are about to delve into.
Essential components that are needed are a Processor (CPU), Motherboard, Memory (RAM), Graphics Card (GPU), Storage, Power Supply, and a Chassis.
The Processor are the brains of your gaming pc and should be picked accordingly for the best experience. A preferred size of CPU would be an Intel Core i7-6800K Broadwell-E 6-Core 3.4 GHz which the ‘K’ means that is can be overclocked.
Motherboard houses various components to essentially run in harmony together. A suggested product would be the MSI MAG z320 TOMAHAWK LGA 1151 (300 Series).
Memory or RAM is used to gather data or access files quickly and efficiently. RAM also allows you to have more than one screen, browser, or game open without lagging. A CORSAIR Vengeance RGB Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) would be more than enough RAM for just about anything that you would plan to open.
A Graphics Card or Video Card is the component that makes your game play or videos/movies more ‘Realistic’ without dampening your experience or causing visual lag. The MSI Radeon RX 580 DirectX 12 8GB 256-Bit would be a great start for your gaming adventure.
You will need to invest into some Storage in order to keep any files, games, videos, or photos on you pc. To have a good storage arrangement, you should invest into having a Hard Drive (HDD) for the excess files and a Solid State Drive (SSD) for your Operating System (OS). Hard Drive: WD Blue 1TB 7200 RPM SATA 6GB/s. SSD:
A Power Supply will be needed to be able to turn on the pc. The wattage will depend on all the other goodies in your pc like the graphics card, processor, and the motherboard. A power supply that would be more than sufficient is the EVGA 600 BR 100-BR-0600-K1 600W.
The Chassis is the most important piece which holds all the components together in a neat and organized way. A pretty affordable Chassis would be the Fractal Design Focus G White ATX Mid Tower.
